Music, prices and wartime headlines from 1944 make up this retro newspaper print, with a name and birth date you type in. It suits a grandparent born that year, giving the family a page to talk over at the birthday table.

  • Only text is added, no photo: a name and a date of your choice, set exactly as you type them.
  • Unframed prints in A4 or A3, to fit a frame you already own.
  • Black or white frames in A4 or A3, or a mounted A4 frame in black, white or oak effect.
  • My own retro newspaper-style layout, not a reproduction of a real 1944 paper.

  • Print only: A4 or A3, no frame.
  • Framed: A4 or A3.
  • Framed with a mount: A4, with a card border around the print.
  • Frame colours for each version are in the options.

Size and frame

  • Print only: A4 is 21 x 29.7cm, A3 is 29.7 x 42cm.
  • A4 framed: 24 x 33cm on the outside. The print fills the frame.
  • A3 framed: 33 x 43cm on the outside. The print is trimmed slightly to fit.
  • A4 framed with a mount: 32 x 42cm on the outside, 3cm deep. The print shows through a 20 x 29cm window.
  • The front is clear plastic, not glass.

What's included

  • Your print on 280gsm satin photo paper.
  • Framed prints come ready to hang. Wall fixings aren't included.

Care

  • Wipe the frame and the front with a dry cloth.

Everything is made to order in Lancashire and posted by Royal Mail. I deliver to UK addresses only.

  • Standard, Royal Mail 2nd Class: £3.75, 3-5 working days in total
  • Tracked, Royal Mail Tracked 24: £4.65, 2-3 working days in total
  • Express, Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm: £13.35. Order by 1pm on a working day for delivery by 1pm the next working day
  • Free tracked UK delivery, Royal Mail Tracked 48, on orders of £35 or more: 3-5 working days in total

How to order

Three steps to their gift

Choose print or frame

Print only, framed, or framed with a mount. Then the size and the frame colour.

Add your details

Type the names and dates exactly as you want them printed, or upload your photo. I print what you type, so check the spelling.

3
I print it and post it

A print on its own goes flat in rigid packaging. A framed print is wrapped in tissue paper and packed in a protective box.

Good to know before you order

Does it come with wall fixings?

No. A framed print is ready to hang, but you'll need a hook or nail for your wall.

What's a mount?

A card border between the print and the frame. It gives the print space around it and a more finished look on the wall.

I need it for a certain date.

Email me before you order with the date and I'll tell you honestly if I can post it in time.
