Size guide
How big will it be?
The size you choose is the width. A short name comes out taller than a long one at the same width. Tap a width to see it on a baby, child and adult top.
BabyAge 1-2, about 26 cm across the chest
KidsAge 3-5, about 32 cm across the chest
JuniorAge 6-10, about 40 cm across the chest
AdultSize M, about 52 cm across the chest
Drawn to scale. The chest widths are typical for each age, measured flat from armpit to armpit. Measure your own top to be sure.
Letters need to be at least 1.5cm tall to cut cleanly, or 2cm in glitter. The largest single transfer I can cut is 45cm wide and up to 100cm tall.

At home
On in about two minutes
Your iron and a sheet of baking paper are all it takes.

Set the iron
Cotton or linen setting, steam off. Work on a hard, flat surface like a worktop, not an ironing board.

Warm the fabric
Iron the spot for 10-15 seconds to smooth out any creases.

Place the transfer
Clear plastic side up, exactly where you want it.

Cover it
Lay the baking paper over the top.

Press
Press down firmly for 15-20 seconds. Don't slide the iron, and don't overdo the heat.

Cool and peel
Wait 5-10 seconds, then peel the plastic away slowly from one corner.
One last press: put the baking paper back and press for 5 seconds. It gives a smoother finish that lasts longer.

Will it work on my top?
Check the care label first
A crossed-out iron on the label, or sportswear with a coated or very stretchy finish, means the transfer won't stay on. This is what that looks like:

A little heart to try first
- Look at the care label: an iron symbol is fine, a crossed-out iron is not.
- Iron the small test heart onto a hidden spot, like the inside of a hem.
- Happy with it? Put the real transfer on.
If it goes on a fabric to skip, or the steps aren't followed, that isn't a fault in the transfer. If the transfer itself is faulty, I'll put it right. This doesn't affect your legal rights. Returns and refunds

Questions
Good to know before you order
Do I need a heat press?
No. A household iron does the job. If you have a press, the settings for each finish are in the materials guide.
I spotted a typo after ordering. Can you fix it?
Email me straight away at info@denmary.co.uk. If I haven't cut it yet, I'll change it. Orders often go to the cutter within minutes, so the sooner the better.
Can I have two colours in one design?
Each transfer is cut from one colour. For two colours, order two transfers, say a name in pink and a date in silver, and iron them on side by side.
It didn't stick, or the edges lifted in the wash. What now?
It doesn't happen often, and a second press usually fixes it. If it didn't stick, cover it with baking paper and press firmly for 15-20 seconds on a hard surface. If the edges lifted after washing, cover it and press for 5 seconds. Still not holding? Send me a photo of the transfer and the care label, and if the transfer is at fault, I'll send you a new one or refund you, whichever you prefer.
Why do transfers sometimes come off?
When it happens, it's usually because the iron wasn't pressed down hard enough, the top was washed too soon, or the fabric is coated or very stretchy. Checking the label and following the six steps avoids nearly all of it.
Can I iron it onto something that isn't clothing?
Yes, as long as it's cotton, polyester or poly-cotton and it can be ironed. Tote bags, aprons and cushion covers all work.
